It has been a very interesting three years since the release of the first record of the Moreira Project Vol 1 - The Journey. Most of the material in this album "Citizen of the World" was written, researched and produced in these past three years. During this period I have grown as a human being as well as a musician. The world has evolved tremendously in many aspects: socially economically, politically, religiously, scientifically etc. You and I as citizens of the world have definitely been influenced and affected by the changes. In this album, you will find that my view or notion of collaboration has expanded very much. On the first record, I had the opportunity of collaborating not only with other musicians but also with other artists. Now there is an even deeper continuation of this collaboration between m and every musician who participated on both albums in particular with Zwelethu Mthethwa who took the photographs for both albums. He and I have travelled together extensively for the past three years doing research not only in music but also in photography and meeting different people from different cultures. As a musician, I discovered that the techniques, methods and emotional involvement of composition used in the art of photography are actually similiar
